Some of the people who have inspired us are:
Mahatma Gandhi - (1869-1948)
Leader of India independence from Great Britain who created a political philosophy of non-violent resistance to oppression and non-violent activism toward equality. Famous for his simplicity and courage, his life inspired Martin Luther King in the struggle for equal rights in the U.S.A. Outspoken advocate of ahimsa in all walks of life including diet.
Sant Kirpal Singh Ji - (1894-1974)
Indian Saint and Mystic. The first of the ancient teachers of Sant Mat, Surat Shabd Yoga, to travel widely in the West. When as small child, his father tried to force him to eat meat, the young boy said, “but Father, is meat not dead flesh, and would you have me make a graveyard out of my body?” Holding firm to his convictions, Sant Kirpal lived a long and inspiring life as a strict vegetarian. His mission was about compassion and bringing out the best in humanity. Read it here. This is a PDF.
